we have got the expertise to help you.
We handle the affairs of a large number of "Not-for-Profit"
clients - from tiny voluntary groups to major businesses.
The world is changing for all of these clients. Funding is ever
more difficult to obtain, competition in each sector is becoming
greater and the end user expects an ever higher standard of
service delivery.
In order to survive, organisations have to address these issues. We understand
the needs of the "Not-for-Profit" sector and are available to help and
advise the officers, committee and trustees on the way forward.
Think "Not-for-Profit" think no tax? Not so! At the very least VAT will
be an issue, either by having to suffer it or having to account for it. PAYE and
NIC has to be calculated if there are paid employees. Many have to pay Corporation
Tax, at least on investment income. And what about the massive capital gains tax
on the value of the organisation's property when it is sold for building land?
The "Not-for-Profit" sector is, quite rightly, one
of the most highly regulated sectors. How many people have offered
to get involved to "help out", "lend a hand"
or even "just for fun"
and suddenly find themselves
with a whole load of legal responsibilities and duties. Whether
it's just the preparation of accounts, audit and secretarial
work or using our full outsourcing facilities which remove the
need for an in-house accounts department altogether. While we
cannot relieve you of your legal responsibilities, we will provide
you with a package of services to relieve the burden.
Muras Baker Jones provide all the accountancy services a Not for Profit body could
ever really want. Why not take advantage of our services. E-mail Trevor Brueton
